What affects Tournament Performance?

Take a look at all areas of performance with TPP.

At TPP, we make sure to observe and analyze all areas that can affect your performance in tournaments. When you are out there competing, you are focused on one objective. Shoot the lowest score you possibly can. As a result of this focus, you may find it hard to get a good grasp on what areas are holding you back. Simple stat keeping can help, but it doesn't really give you the full picture of your strengths and weaknesses. You also are unaware of other factors that are in play. You may be speeding up routines at certain moments, slowing down more than normal, or simply just making poor decisions on club and/or shot selection.

We are here to help you with all of the areas you see in our chart. Each TPP Professional that you work with will have high level tournament experience as well as success in their own playing career. We have a unique insight into what it means to play great golf and what you need to have in your own game to dominate your competition.

You will notice that swing technique is only on part of the equation. Grinding on the range and only working on mechanics can be detrimental to your scoring. A much more important skill is Shot Control. Yes, this is related to your technique as a better golf swing will lead to more control over your golf ball. This, however, goes much deeper than your golf swing. No matter what your swing looks like, you need to be able to make sure your shots stay in certain areas of the hole in order to maximize your score. For example, you are playing a hole that has out of bounds lining the right side. Shot Control means that you can play a shot that will have no chance of missing to the right side. That is different for everyone based on your technique and tendencies, but the goal remains the same.
